If traveling by metro, take Line 1 (the red line) and get off at Baquedano Station, Salvador Station or Universidad Católica Station. These are the three closest metro stops to the Santiago Funicular Railway’s Pío Nono Station, the starting point of your experience.
Once you exit the metro station, find Pío Nono Street and walk in the direction of the city’s main attraction, the imposing San Cristóbal Hill. You will pass by the famous Patio Bellavista, a collection of various bars and restaurants, before arriving at our main station.
If traveling by car, we recommend that you park on the nearby streets of Bellavista and walk to our location.
Families have been enjoying rides on the funicular since 1925. Its main purpose was to carry people from the base of the hill to the summit, not only quickly but also to provide them with stunning views. Nowadays, it also lets people take a trip through history as they climb up to the summit of Cerro San Cristóbal.
